The “Anti-Mill” Philosophy

Victoria firmly believes in the “anti-mill” philosophy of legal representation. In her private practice, Victoria intentionally limits her caseload to under 40 cases a year (typically 20-30 criminal defense clients) so she can build a personal connection with every client, learn their life story before arraignment, and provide the absolute dedication their case deserves.

Strategic & Holistic Criminal Defense

While criminal defense is her primary focus and true passion, Victoria is a remarkably well-rounded attorney who has spent her career exploring various facets of the law. She has experience in plaintiff-side civil litigation, divorce cases, and defending parents dealing with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in dependency court. She has also handled worker's compensation cases on both the applicant and defense sides. This diverse background makes her uniquely equipped to advise her criminal defense clients who often find themselves dealing with overlapping family, dependency, or civil issues as a result of their charges.

Victoria is known for her exceptional research and writing skills, particularly when it comes to drafting motions to suppress evidence over 4th Amendment violations and Romero motions to strike prior convictions. She has a strong track record of helping clients with addiction issues successfully transition into mental health courts to get the treatment they need. Recognizing the severe collateral consequences of criminal charges, she also works closely with immigration attorneys whenever necessary to secure immigration consequence letters for her clients.

Multilingual Advocacy

As a multilingual attorney, Victoria communicates effectively with a diverse client base. She is equipped to provide direct translation services for Spanish-speaking clients and is fully proficient in both speaking and writing Italian.

Service Areas

Victoria primarily focuses on taking cases in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. However, she has extensive experience practicing across California, including Santa Clara, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, and Tulare county. She is willing to consider taking cases in any county in California, provided clients are willing to cover travel expenses in addition to her retainer fee.
